Client: SANRAL

Incident Management Systems (IMSs) is a concept, which has taken the South African Emergency services by storm. The SA Roads Board funds IMSs, which are implemented on all the National Roads countrywide. The first system was initiated in KZN in 1991 and to date there are 32 systems in place nationally. More recently IMSs have been included in the routine road maintenance tenders by SANRAL. IMS is a management tool to assist emergency services manage incidents efficiently.

Nathoo Mbenyane Engineers has been involved in the development/maintenance of 4 Incident Management Systems in the Eastern Cape and 1 in KZN. Maintenance of IMSs, encompasses meetings, training, debriefings, analysis of incident report forms and project management.
